Cincinnati Favorites Will Highlight Fifth Third Arena Concessions Options
CINCINNATI – Popular Cincinnati favorites Buffalo Wings & Rings, Frisch’s, Skyline Chili and Taste of Belgium will be sold inside the University of Cincinnati’s Fifth Third Arena when the newly renovated home of Bearcats men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball opens in November.
The specialty foods and updates to concessions operations are part of an overall effort by the UC Athletics and concessions partner Aramark to create a fan-friendly experience at the state-of-the-art facility.
“We strategically work to partner with local leaders who fuel the intensity of interest around our athletics programs, Fifth Third Arena and our award-winning campus,” Mike Bohn, UC Director of Athletics said. “Improving the gameday experience for our phenomenal fans is always paramount on our list of improvements for coming home to what we believe will be the finest on-campus arena in the country. We will continue to look for additional Cincinnati favorites to join our roster of options available in the new arena.”
// MAIN CONCOURSE CONCESSIONS
The 360-degree main concourse will feature several local new franchises:
- FRISCH’S BIG BOY – will serve Big Boy burgers, fries, and chicken tenders on the main concourse level in the southeast corner near sections 118 and 119.
- SKYLINE CHILI – Coneys or kids’ meals can be purchased at any of the three Skyline locations inside the arena including on the main concourse level’s east concourse near section 117.
- TASTE OF BELGIUM – will serve their signature Waffle & Chicken as well as pretzels with beer cheese in the northeast corner of the main concourse level near section 113.
Graeter’s, Montgomery Inn, Servatti and Skyline Chili will be available to fans with access to the Champions Club area on the main concourse of the arena (sections 103 through 105 as well as both the sideline and baseline loge boxes).
// UPPER CONCOURSE CONCESSIONS
The new 360-degree upper concourse features:
- BUFFALO WINGS & RINGS – will serve bone-in wings, fries, and onion rings on the upper concourse level of the west concourse near section 203.
- SKYLINE CHILI – will have two kiosks on the east and west concourse near sections 203 and 213.
Additional concession items will be available, including popcorn, funnel cakes, cotton candy, German roasted nuts and more. Walking Tacos, a Nippert Stadium favorite, will also be sold in Fifth Third Arena.
In addition to new food options, the arena will feature bars at the north end of the main and upper concourses.
// THE ARMORY BAR
The Armory Bar located on the main concourse will highlight the history of Armory Fieldhouse, the home of Bearcats basketball from 1954-76. From Dec. 6, 1957, the first home game of the season, to December 7, 1963, the men’s basketball team went undefeated for a span of 72 games in Armory. The bar features the original floor from Shoemaker Center.
// THE QUEEN CITY BAR
The Queen City Bar located on the upper concourse features a map of the City of Cincinnati and highlights UC Athletics’ partnerships with Braxton, MadTree, and Rhinegeist.
The partnership agreements were negotiated by IMG College, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for UC Athletics.
// SECURE YOUR SEASON TICKETS TODAY
Fans can purchase their 2018-19 men’s basketball tickets by logging on to GoBearcats.com/tickets, by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or by visiting the Athletics Ticket Office on the fourth floor of the Richard E. Lindner Center, week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
An estimated 97 percent of available season tickets for the arena’s 12,012 seats have been sold for the coming 2018-19 campaign leaving less than 350 remaining tickets and only two of 12 price points.
With such high demand, purchasing season tickets will be the only way fans can guarantee their seats for Bearcats’ home games against both Ohio State and Xavier (Saturday, Dec. 8). Those opponents will not be included together in future potential mini plans. Possible mini plans and single-game ticket sales will be announced at a later date.
